Job Summary:
The Civil Structural Engineer will be responsible for the engineering design and detailing of civil and structural works for oil and gas projects. The candidate must have expertise in using software such as STAAD / Foundation Design Suite for analysis and design. Hands-on experience with model review in platforms like SP3D, E3D, PDS, or PDMS is essential. The engineer should have experience as a Lead Engineer or Checking Engineer in at least one project. Familiarity with preparing design calculations using XL spreadsheets is a plus. The candidate should prioritize safety standards and continuously improve working practices and systems. Adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality systems is crucial. The engineer must ensure technical quality, identify scope and schedule changes, and maintain planning and cost control. Compliance with relevant codes, standards, regulations, and procedures is essential. The engineer will provide technical assistance, review work output, prepare estimates and schedules, and maintain communication with the client. Staying updated with technical developments, standards, and legislative requirements is expected. The engineer should maintain a filing system, encourage lateral learning, and possess excellent communication skills.
